Indexed UL product uses global indices.

American General Life Insurance Co. has launched AIG Elite Global IUL (indexed universal life), which credits interest every five years based on the performance of the Standard & Poor's 500 Composite Price Index, Hang Seng Index (Hong Kong) and Dow Jones Euro Stoxx 50 (western Europe). The product has a guaranteed annual minimum interest rate of 2.5%. It credits 75% of the return of the best-performing index and 25% of the next-best-performing index. Policyholders choose index allocations and among three death-benefit options.
