Inderscience to launch "Int'l J. of Information Policy & Law".Inderscience Publishers (Geneva) will begin the publication of the International Journal of Information Policy & Law with an issue in early 2005. An annual print subscription to the new quarterly journal costs $450; a combined print/online annual subscription costs $545. The mission of the journal is to promote and coordinate information policy and law in the fields of information technology, political science, informatics, sociology and economics. It will carry articles that cover synergy between theory and practice of the governing and management of information in the electronic media with an emphasis on emerging issues of interest to legislators, legal professionals and academics. Editorial will cover such topics as: commercial law commercial law n. all the law which applies to the rights, relations and conduct of persons and businesses engaged in commerce, merchandising, trade, and sales. In recent years this body of law has been codified in the Uniform Commercial Code, which has been almost universally adopted by the states.
