The following grid lists the types of testing offered by independent
testing laboratories. Tests for physical testing of rubber include
stress/strain tests; time-dependent tests; destructive tests;
durability; electrical properties; and processing. Tests for
chemical analysis of raw materials and rubber are broken down
into spectrophotometry, spectrometry and spectroscopy; chromatography;
thermal analysis; and microscopy. Each of these subdivisions is
further broken down into the specific type of tests.
