Independent Test Lab LEA S.A.S. Licenses Netopia's Remote Device Management Software; Netopia's NBBS Sets the Standard for TR-069 Interoperability Testing.

EMERYVILLE, Calif. -- Netopia, Inc. (OTCBB:NTPA), a market leader in broadband gateways and service-delivery software, announced it has signed a license agreement for its TR-069 NBBS remote device management platform with LEA S.A.S., a subsidiary of the HF Company group and a leader in xDSL and PLC broadband solutions. LEA's independent test laboratory in Tauxigny, near Tours, France, will use Netopia's NBBS platform to check the compatibility of vendors' IP gateways and network equipment with TR-069, the new DSL Forum standard for auto-configuration and remote centralized management.

Recognized by the DSL Forum, LEA's Independent Test Laboratory (ITL) stands as France's benchmark for xDSL interoperability testing. With Netopia's NBBS remote management platform, the LEA ITL is now the first independent test lab in the market to offer compliance testing for the TR-069 specification.
