InPart Announces FlashModeler Sale To Bimba Manufacturing.

SARATOGA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 5, 1999--InPart, a division of Parametric Technology Corporation (NASDAQ:PMTC) and the leading provider of 3D content and tools for the mechanical engineering market, announced today that Bimba Manufacturing Company purchased FlashModeler technology.

As an existing InPart manufacturing partner and contributor of more than 17,000 3D solid models representing Bimba standard parts to the DesignSuite library, Bimba recognizes the benefits of offering FlashModeler capabilities to its engineers, distributors and customers. Using the software, these organizations have free 24-hour per day, seven-days per week access to the DesignSuite library. InPart's electronic library currently contains nearly 325,000 3D solid models and more than 9 million associated technical details such as component drawings, part numbers and specifications, as well as manufacturer information.

In addition, InPart and Bimba offer the Bimba Selection Aide, an on-line configurator that allows Bimba FlashModeler users to rapidly design, select and download a Bimba cylinder for their work in real-time. Designers have a powerful and fast tool at their fingertips to choose the optimal Bimba part for their project.
