In times of trouble.

When the chips are down and all avenues of defence have failed, one solution would be to turn to the Model 175 CBK (Concealed Backup Knife) from Benchmade. The knife, designed strictly as an emergency tool, is a chisel-ground, double-edged spear point blade that is intended to decrease the resistance in penetrating multiple layers of clothing or other dense material. Both blade and handle are coated with the company's BT2 material for rust resistance, lower friction and a non-glare finish. The Model 175 CBK is laser-cut from a solid sheet of 440C steel hardened to 58-60 HRC, yet the blade thickness is 0.317 centimetres thick and the overall unit length is 13.9 cm (blade is 5 cm). Carry options include the standard clip included with each sheath the Tek-Lok, the metal clip that attaches to a lash tab or boot or the tether cord for an around-the-neck mount.
