Also presented are the materials and environment needed for implementing an atelier, or studio, into the school curriculum, along with various stories of atelieristi in the United States and their experiences with implementing this particular approach.

The book brims with suggestions and examples of projects and testimonies, and should become a requirement for all graduate students entering the education field who are strongly motivated and willing to implement a radical approach that perceives creativity as "the ability to construct new connections between thoughts and objects that bring about innovation and change, taking known elements and creating new connections."
