In memoriam.
THOMAS F. CLARK, a former president and long-time member of
TEI's Los Angeles Chapter died on July 30, 2005. A Korean War
veteran and graduate of St. John's University, Mr. Clark enjoyed a
long career with Getty Oil and Texaco. He was a mentor to younger
members of the Los Angeles Chapter, and also served as regional vice
president and member of the Institute's Board of Directors.
KAREN KENNEY, a member of TEI's Denver Chapter, died on
September 26. At the time of her death,. Ms. Kenney was Vice
President-Tax of PeopleSoft, Inc. A 1977 graduate of Princeton
University, she earned her MBA MBA abbr. Master of Business Administration

and later obtained her CPA (Computer Press Association, Landing, NJ) An earlier membership organization founded in 1983 that promoted excellence in computer journalism. Its annual awards honored outstanding examples in print, broadcast and electronic media. The CPA disbanded in 2000. . She began her tax career with Arthur
Andersen & Co. in Denver and subsequent joined J.D. Edwards, and
Vice President of Tax at PeopleSoft. She joined TEI 1. (communications) TEI - Terminal Endpoint Identifier. 2. (text, project) TEI - Text Encoding Initiative. in 2003.
