In memoriam: Jack Petralia.

Dear Editor:

For those of you who did not have the pleasure of knowing Jack Petralia (R.E.H.S./R.S.), he was a man of the highest degree of professional conduct. He served as president of the California Environmental Health Association in the early 1980s and he was a devoted member and supporter of NEHA his entire career. His membership in NEHA extended for over 40 years. He was awarded CEHA's most prestigious life achievement award. His dedication to NEHA included even running for office in the association, and although not successful in winning, he never ceased to support and endorse NEHA to all. He attended numerous NEHA symposia and this included presentations at such events.

Editor's Note: Jack Petralia, who worked for LA County before he retired, passed away on January 5, 2009. NEHA offers its sincere condolences to Jack's family and colleagues. He will be missed.
