FREETOWN, Sierra Leone--The kidnappings and killings of Catholic missionaries early this year drew attention not only to the courage and vulnerability of missionaries but also this West African West Africa

In January and February, the archbishop of Freetown, Joseph Ganda Joseph Henry Ganda (born March 22,1932 in Serabu, Bo District, Sierra Leone) is the Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Freetown and Bo in Sierra Leone.

Born in the village Serabu in the Bo district, he was the first in the area to study for the priesthood.
