This gay man knows that it is an enormously challenging task to try to motivate gay men about issues that affect our lives. But do we really need an Advocate columnist columnist, the writer of an essay appearing regularly in a newspaper or periodical, usually under a constant heading. Although originally humorous, the column in many cases has supplanted the editorial for authoritative opinions on world problems.  comparing White Party attendees to Russell Henderson and Aaron McKinney, Matthew Shepard's murderers [Coastal Disturbances, March 16]? Isn't that perpetuating stereotyping of individuals, which Henderson and McKinney did in the first place?
