I am a quote lover from way back so this product had a special appeal. For this review, I used Collection 1 and 6.

In Other Words is a series of six collections of "witty wit·ty

, stimulating, and thought-provoking" quotations presented on ready-made table tent tent, portable shelter of canvas, skins, felt, matting, or other material usually supported by poles and used chiefly by nomads, hunters, and campers. Tents have been used by pastoral peoples since ancient times and are mentioned in the Old Testament and in Homer.  cards printed on recycled paper. The tent cards are 8 1/2 by 5 1/2 inches and can be displayed on a registration or sign-in table for meeting participants to select. The quote is displayed on one side of the card, leaving the other side for the participant's name.

The tent cards can be used as icebreakers or discussion starters in training classes, seminars, conferences and meetings. Some sample applications:

* Use as name tent only: participants informally and casually share their quotes with each other.

* Uses for self-introductions: participants introduce themselves, sharing the quote they selected and its meaningfulness to them.

* Connect to workshop or meeting content: participants can connect their chosen quote with the meeting content or agenda.

This product facilitates a safe and risk free way to get people talking. The selection of quotes is diverse. I reviewed two collections and with the exception of two or three quotes that I feel would not be relevant for our company culture, all would be great conversation starters. The idea of using the quotes to create connections to your meeting or workshop topic was particularly appealing to me.

Recommendation

I highly recommend the In Other Words table tent quote cards. This product is an inexpensive, easy-to-use way to facilitate participant introductions and discussions. It is appropriate for all levels in the organizations as well as across industries. It engages participants quickly and in a thought-provoking way.
