EXE Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:EXEE), a leading provider of supply chain execution software, announced today that Rodale, a leading magazine and book publisher, located in Emmaus, Pennsylvania, has achieved reductions in operational and inventory costs while increasing promotional marketing capabilities, a result of its implementation of EXE's EXceed(TM) Fulfill suite. Rodale's implementation of EXceed in its 300,000 square foot distribution center has allowed the company to eliminate its annual physical inventory while increasing its ability to personalize fulfillment to the individual customer.

The EXceed warehouse management system (WMS), part of the EXceed Fulfill suite, enables Rodale to manage and control the flow of inventory through the distribution process. With nearly 2000 line item shipments of consolidated orders per day, each line item containing up to 10,000 books, precision and efficiency is critical. Since the implementation of the EXceed WMS solution, inventory accuracy has improved and a significant reduction in backorders has been realized.
