In Flanders fields.


Around 175 miles north of Paris and 46 miles west of Brussels lies one of the most well-known cemeteries for our nation's veterans whose bodies remain near where they fought. Flanders Field American Cemetery and Memorial Flanders Field American Cemetery and Memorial is a World War I cemetery on the southeast edge of the town of Waregem, Belgium. This is the only American World War I cemetery in Belgium and 411 American servicemen are buried or commemorated there.  near Waregem, Belgium is the resting place for 368 military dead who sacrificed their mortal souls to liberate (Liberate Technologies, San Mateo, CA) A software company that specialized in the information appliance field. Formerly Network Computer, Inc. (NCI), a spin-off from Oracle in 1996, it changed its name in 1999.  Belgium in World War I. These sacred grounds were memorialized by John McCrae's immortal poem "In Flanders Fields
