LabPortal.com today announced the release of version 4.0 of the LabPortal(TM) Internet-based clinical lab connectivity solution for community-based integrated delivery networks (IDNs), hospitals and regional commercial laboratories.

Version 4.0 of the LabPortal service offers significant enhanced functionality and expanded customization options for its laboratory clients and their clinician users, including host facility branding, "copy to" reporting, new results alerts, duplicate order checking at the test code level, online test directories and specimen requirements, specimen bar code labeling, standing orders and business rules management both at the sponsor lab and client facility levels.

LabPortal product and business development managers will present live, interactive Internet demonstrations of the new LabPortal application at HIMSS HIMSS Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society  2001, the healthcare information technology (HIT) industry's premier conference and tradeshow.
