Improvements to Network Associates Coliseum Complex Will Make Parking, Tail-Gate Parties More Convenient at Oakland Raiders Games.
Oakland Raiders fans will find it easier this season to get in and out of the parking lot at the Network Associates Coliseum and Oakland-Alameda County Arena, thanks to significant improvements recently completed.
When fans arrive for the first home pre-season game on Aug. 15 against Dallas, they will enjoy:
-- Newly painted parking lines, all pointing toward the stadium, making it easier to get in and out of parking areas; -- 3.2 million square feet of re-surfaced pavement in parking area; -- Wider aisles for easier parking; -- 143 parking spaces reserved for disabled patrons; -- More portable toilets in parking areas; -- More barrels for disposal of hot coals.
The changes are part of ongoing improvements being made by SMG, manager of the stadium and arena complex.
"These improvements will provide an immediate and significant benefit for Oakland Raiders fans," said Richard Rogers, president of the Oakland Football Marketing Association. "The home-game experience, both before and after the game, will be more comfortable and enjoyable for everyone."
