Improved features in dental program.

Assurant Employee Benefits has launched "Lifetime of Smiles," a program of improvement to most of its dental plans. The plans now will cover two routine and two periodontal cleanings a year, tooth-colored fillings for posterior teeth, and brush biopsy procedures. Periodontal disease can lead to heart disease, stroke, diabetes and adverse birth results, while the simple and painless brush biopsy can help detect early stages of oral cancer.
