Impact of Possible NASDAQ Buyout On EASDAQ-Listed Companies; Bricsnet CFO and Chairman Can Address Impact of Potential Take-Over.

Business/Technology Editors

PORTSMOUTH, N.H.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 7, 2001

The media have recently covered a possible take-over of EASDAQ See European Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotation.  by NASDAQ NASDAQ
in full National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotations

U.S. market for over-the-counter securities. Established in 1971 by the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD), NASDAQ is an automated quotation system that reports on
, raising questions about the effect this might have on both markets and the companies listed there. Especially interesting is what this could mean to companies that are headquartered in the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. The United States is the world's third largest country in population and the fourth largest country in area.  and listed on EASDAQ such as Bricsnet(TM) (EASDAQ: BSNT BSNT Backward Sequence Number to Transmit (CCS #7 ITU-T) ). What are the advantages and drawbacks of NASDAQ purchasing EASDAQ for companies listed there?

The Chief Financial Officer and Chairman of Bricsnet, Michel Vander Eecken, can address these issues. He has first-hand knowledge of how a company conducts business in the EASDAQ. He can discuss:

-- What a NASDAQ takeover would mean to a company listed only on EASDAQ, such as Bricsnet.

-- How the EASDAQ currently operates and its position in the European economy.
-- What the NASDAQ and EASDAQ have in common.

-- How NASDAQ's fall impacted the EASDAQ and companies listed

there.

In June 1999, Bricsnet had a successful IPO (Initial Public Offering) The first time a company offers shares of stock to the public. While not a computer term per se, many founders, employees and insiders of computer companies have found this acronym more exciting than any tech term they ever heard.  on the EASDAQ. The subsequent rise in Bricsnet's stock to $60 per share enabled the company to acquire eight additional companies. The NASDAQ crash impacted the EASDAQ and closed the window on competitors who had not yet gone public. Now the company is poised to debut a robust ASP-based solution that bridges construction and real estate, addressing, for the first time, the business needs of commercial real estate owners and managers.
