NetBurn Secure(TM) Drastically Reduces Illegal Burns of Music

Immediatek, Inc (OTCBB:ITEK) has announced that it has formed a strategic alliance with SunnComm Technologies (OTC:STEH) by incorporating SunnComm's unique MediaMax(TM) copy management technology into Immediatek's NetBurn(TM) disc burning product line. The NetBurn Secure(TM) product is based on existing NetBurn "one-click" download-and-burn technology. The combined technology is the only product of its kind to offer content owners both copy control and a seamless process for downloading and burning music.

The combined process leaves no files on the user's computer. NetBurn Secure will protect the copyrights and revenues of artists and record labels while offering end users a simplified burning solution. This joint development project combines the core competencies of both companies and fills a void in Electronic Music Distribution (EMD).

According to Zach Bair, Immediatek's CEO and chairman, "NetBurn Secure helps prevent illegal burns while substantially reducing unauthorized access to music. Utilization of the product will allow artists and content owners to recoup part of the $5 billion they lose each year to piracy."

Based on existing NetBurn "one-click" download-and-burn technology, NetBurn Secure is scheduled for release next quarter. It is the only product of its kind to offer copy management coupled with a seamless process for downloading.

NetBurn Secure allows consumers to select music from a Website and in one easy step, download the music and copy or burn it to their blank CD. An important feature of NetBurn Secure is that the process is completed without leaving any files on the computer's hard drive that can be copied or pirated at a later time.

Yoshi Dillon Technologies, Inc., who owns an independent music site promoting best-selling artists, which is scheduled for full launch in late summer, recently signed a licensing deal with Immediatek estimated to be worth over $3.5M over the next 12-18 months. Internet veteran Bill Marquez, founder of Netster.com, and president of Yoshi Dillon, said, "NetBurn Secure gives us the ability to offer music in a whole new way, and the confidence of our artists that their work cannot be widely pirated." Marquez added that they chose NetBurn because "there's nothing like it out there."

"Content has to be protected right out of the gate," said Bair. "Record labels and content providers can now have peace of mind that their content cannot be uploaded back to the Internet and pirated." Bair also predicts that within two years, all content sites will have to support digital rights management and secure burning.

Immediatek is also talking with major record labels and recording studios to provide NetBurn Secure in a high-end desktop version that will feature sophisticated mastering tools for building MediaMax compliant discs. NetBurn Secure fully implements all aspects of MediaMax and Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) Windows Media DRM, providing the only consumer-based secure burning solution available anywhere.
