The platform enhancement, provided through a licensing agreement with Intelli-Check (AMEX:IDN), provides airports, Departments of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and system integrators the first comprehensive, automated solution to increase security and improve customer service.

BorderGuard - A First Line of Defense for Airports

Security screeners and personnel at airport check-in desks face the daunting task of validating thousands of travel documents a day. In the past, Imaging Automation's system has been used in International terminals where passports were the only acceptable form of identification. Now, airports can bring the same level of security to terminals for domestic flights.

By deploying the BorderGuard system, airports can implement heightened security features such as running ten separate security checks on each document, including reading and decoding the Machine Readable Zone (MRZ), identifying the laminate type, confirming the national security logo, verifying invisible inks and tags, and searching for and highlighting tampering--without making the traveler wait any longer. Imaging Automation's software is currently being beta-tested at Logan International Airport in Boston, Massachusetts.

The challenge facing Department of Motor Vehicles across the nation is validating passports of foreign nationals trying to secure driver's licenses in the United States.
