), announced today that Celcom Sdn Bhd SDN BHD Sendirian Berhad (Malay equivalent to incorporated) , one of Malaysia's leading telecommunications companies, has become a title sponsor for the second season of MuchMusic Malaysia.

Due to significant viewer feedback and requests, MuchMusicAsia will return on an expanded bi-weekly schedule with 52 half-hour episodes sponsored by Celcom Sdn Bhd. The much-awaited program is expected to air early 2002 on TV3, with 20 million households in Malaysia and Singapore.

MuchMusic's bi-weekly format will include added focus on viewer participation and interactivity as well as increased local and international live performances and diverse genres of music video.

MuchMusic Asia consists of modularly branded segments that promote interactivity, spontaneity and accessibility. MuchMusic delivers a constant flow of innovatively programmed and non-repetitive MusicVideos, Live Performances, News, Views, Attitudes and an annual awards celebration: the MuchMusic Video Awards The MuchMusic Video Awards (or the MMVAs, as they are also known) are annual awards presented by the Canadian music video channel MuchMusic to honour the year's best music videos.  

In June 2000, Chum Ltd. (Toronto:CHMB), Canada's leading media conglomerate and Interruption Television Pte Ltd PTE LTD Private Limited  ("ITPL ITPL International Technological Park (Bangalore, India) "), Image's Singapore-based production subsidiary, entered into a joint venture agreement to perpetuate and distribute the MuchMusic brand throughout Asia.

 the essence of the MuchMusic channel, into highly focused and localized half hour blocks, entitled MuchMusic Asia. ITPL successfully beta-tested its format in Malaysia by launching a weekly, 26 part half-hour series on Malaysia's leading television channel, TV3.

The program, fully sponsored by Coca Cola Far East Ltd, achieved massive viewer approval, ending its season with a 10 Neilson rating, outperforming all other similar programming during that time period.
