The deluxe 3-DVD anthology "Edgar G. Ulmer: Archive" is comprised of five feature films the B-movie maverick made between 1939 and 1957: "Bluebeard Bluebeard, nickname of the chevalier Raoul in a story by Charles Perrault. In the story Bluebeard's seventh wife, Fatima, yielding to curiosity, opens a locked door and discovers the slain bodies of her predecessors. ," "Daughter of Dr. Jekyll," "Strange Illusion," "Moon Over Harlem," and "The Strange Woman" -- the latter features audio commentary from film historian David Kalat and an exclusive video interview with Mr. Ulmer's wife. All of the films have been digitally mastered from preserved 35mm archival elements by All Day Entertainment, in association with The Edgar G. Ulmer Preservation Corporation.

Edgar G. Ulmer began his career as a production designer in Germany on such esteemed films as "Metropolis," "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari," and "M" before emigrating to Hollywood to direct for Universal Studios in the 1930's. After falling out of favor with studio brass, Ulmer retreated to the low-budget realm of "Poverty Row," where his ability to create stylish films on miniscule min·is·cule
