Ilog Targets Manufacturing ERP With Component Tool.Ilog SA, the Paris, France software component supplier, has released its Configurator, a tool which enables product managers rather than developers to build component-based applications. The Ilog Configurator, used with Ilog's Solver, its generic optimization optimizationField of applied mathematics whose principles and methods are used to solve quantitative problems in disciplines including physics, biology, engineering, and economics. tool, is specifically designed, Ilog claims, for components with constraints CONSTRAINTS - A language for solving constraints using value inference.
