Illinois: forest preserve district hires new director.


Brent Manning is the new executive director of The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County is a governmental agency headquartered in Wheaton, Illinois. Its mission is to acquire and hold lands containing forests, prairies, wetlands, and associated plant communities or lands capable of being restored to such natural conditions for . His post began Oct. 1. Manning's the former director of the Illinois Department of Natural Resources The Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) is a cabinet-level department of the state government of Illinois. It is headquartered in the state capital of Springfield.  and a lifelong outdoor enthusiast A person who enjoys using computers and electronic equipment. Enthusiasts like technology and are willing to learn more of the ins and outs of a product than the average consumer, who just wants to use it. An enthusiast is more like a "prosumer." "With more than 20 years of experience in natural resources management and with expertise both in the field and in administration, Manning will be a great asset to me conservation education and recreation mission of the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County," says D. "Dewey" Pierotti. Jr., district president of the board of commissioners' choice for executive director.

As an outdoor enthusiast. Manning has promoted and Initiated outdoor sports ethics ethics, in philosophy, the study and evaluation of human conduct in the light of moral principles. Moral principles may be viewed either as the standard of conduct that individuals have constructed for themselves or as the body of obligations and duties that a , nature education for all ages, youth fishing programs, and sporting opportunities for people with disabilities.
