Identity theft more prevalent offline than on.


Despite growing fears about information security and the Internet, the Internet, the, international computer network linking together thousands of individual networks at military and government agencies, educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, industrial and financial corporations of all sizes, and commercial enterprises  Better Business Bureau says more identity theft occurs offline (1) Not connected to the Internet, online service or internal network.
