RE: THE letter from Caroline Molyneux of Wavertree with regard to the replacement of Terry Wogan Sir Michael Terence Wogan, KBE DL (born August 3rd 1938, in Limerick, County Limerick, Republic of Ireland), more commonly known as Terry Wogan, is a radio and television broadcaster who has worked for the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) in the United Kingdom (UK)  with a Radio Merseyside presenter, instead of Chris Evans.

I agree entirely with her sentiments.

Roger Lyon is an excellent, very able top-class presenter, whose voice is certainly made for radio broadcasting The examples and perspective in this article or section may not represent a worldwide view of the subject.

. If you add to that a natural empathy with the listeners, coupled with his laid-back style, it is not difficult to understand his popularity and hewould indeed be awelcome replacement to TerryWogan. Having said all that, Iwould be very sorry to see him leave Radio Merseyside for another station, even to one as prestigious as Radio 2. What a pity, then, that the powers that be locally do not seem to appreciate his talent and relegate rel·e·gate
