If you add to that a natural empathy with the listeners, coupled with his laid-back style, it is not difficult to understand his popularity and hewould indeed be awelcome replacement to TerryWogan. Having said all that, Iwould be very sorry to see him leave Radio Merseyside for another station, even to one as prestigious as Radio 2.
