Icera Semiconductor Collaborates with Prolific for Development of Leading Edge Silicon; UK-based Company Chooses Prolific for Advanced Standard Cell Design.

Prolific Inc., the leading provider of design optimization See automatic design optimization.  and automated standard cell creation software, today announced that Icera Semiconductor selected Prolific's ProGenesis(R) software to accelerate the development of its standard cell libraries, the key building blocks of digital integrated circuit integrated circuit (IC), electronic circuit built on a semiconductor substrate, usually one of single-crystal silicon. The circuit, often called a chip, is packaged in a hermetically sealed case or a nonhermetic plastic capsule, with leads extending from it for  (IC) design.
