Iceland Tests Paradigm Tactical Products Patented FriskerPRO(R).

GEORGETOWN, Mass. -- Paradigm Tactical Products (Other OTC:PDGT.PK), a leading provider of non-lethal defense and homeland security solutions to corrections, law enforcement and the security industry, has announced the patented FriskerPRO([R]) has been shipped to Iceland for initial review. The FriskerPRO([R]) is a hand-worn metal detector that fits in the palm of the hand and is used to enhance the police "pat-down" search technique, as well as enhancing clothing inspection while processing prisoners.

An established Icelandic distributor contacted Paradigm Tactical Products asking for multiple FriskerPRO([R]) samples to be shipped to Iceland for test and evaluation purposes. Iceland is 103,000 square kilometers in area, with a heavy population built-up around the coastline. Icelandic has 124 municipalities, including 30 villages and towns. Iceland is a highly developed, stable democracy with a modern economy, although their open borders aligned with their Western European neighbors allow the possibility of terrorists or other criminals entering/exiting the country with anonymity. Iceland is secured by a police force on land and on sea, the State Police, the Coast Guard and the Customs Department. Police duties are divided between the Chief of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and the Reykjavik Police Commissioner. The NBI is responsible for the investigation of all major criminal offences in the Reykjavik area and assist other police districts in the country in technical matters and in serious and difficult cases.
