IceWEB Receives $1,125,000 in New Federal Contracts.

HERNDON, Va. -- IceWEB, Inc., www.iceweb.com (OTCBB:IWEB) a leading provider of network security products and infrastructure services, and hosted enterprise communications services, announced today that its IceWEB Solutions Group has received $1,125,000 in new contract awards from U.S. Government.

The recent contract awards included orders form the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the National Science Foundation (NSF), and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The Department of Homeland Security has tasked IceWEB to provide "Strong Authentication Technology" for the agency's internal networks. "Strong authentication technology," said James Bond, Chief Technology Officer for IceWEB, "increases security by combining something the user knows (their username and PIN) with something they have (a randomly-generated two-factor authentication token passcode). By requiring users to provide both the PIN and passcode, strong authentication systems help to ensure data are only available to authorized users. Passwords are the weakest link in information security. Clients are aggravated by strong password policies that force constant change and difficult passwords, but not having those policies is not an option. Two-factor authentication technology is a great solution. It has become clear that the standard user name/password combination is not sufficient for determining the identity of someone attempting to access private information."
