Ice Cream Lovers Compete to Create the Next Friendly's Favorite Sundae and Win a Dream Vacation.

WILBRAHAM, Mass. -- Kids and adults from across the country who dream of concocting the absolutely perfect ice cream dessert and taking a once in a lifetime vacation can see their dreams become reality by entering Friendly's "Create the Next Favorite" contest.

The online contest, which continues through September 5, 2006, invites ice cream lovers to go to www.friendlys.com to create and name their own original sundae recipe. Entrants can choose from among 21 Friendly's ice cream flavors, two wet toppings, and two dry toppings--plus an ingredient of their own choice - before naming their special sundae. A panel of Friendly's own ice cream experts will be judging the sundaes based on originality and taste. Winners will be announced on or before September 30, 2006.

"There are billions of possible combinations, and this contest is limited only by entrants' creativity," said Pete Bell, Friendly's Vice President, Marketing. "We've already received over 29,000 entries, and we're very excited about looking at all the delicious and innovative treats that ice cream lovers can devise using Friendly's famous ice cream and toppings - and their own imaginations."

One grand prize will be awarded to entrants age 17 and under and a one to those age 18 and over. The two winners will have their sundaes featured on a Friendly's menu and will be able to choose from one of 14 Amazing Get-Away vacations that offer kids and adults the trip of their dreams, each valued at up to $15,000.
