Dr. Antoniadis is Professor of Electrical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Massachusetts Institute of Technology, at Cambridge; coeducational; chartered 1861, opened 1865 in Boston, moved 1916. It has long been recognized as an outstanding technological institute and its Sloan School of Management has notable programs in business,  (MIT MIT - Massachusetts Institute of Technology ). He joined the faculty of MIT in 1978 after receiving his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. He is a Director of the SRC (SouRCe) Contrast with DST, which is an abbreviation of "destination."  Center of Excellence for Mircrosystem Technologies at MIT, a Fellow of the IEEE and is the original developer of the industry-standard SUPREM SUPREM Stanford University Process Emulation Module  process simulator. His technical activities focus is in the area of semiconductor devices and integrated circuit technology, the physics of diffusion in silicon, silicon-on-insulator technology and devices, and novel concepts in semiconductor device fabrication Semiconductor device fabrication is the process used to create chips, the integrated circuits that are present in everyday electrical and electronic devices. It is a multiple-step sequence of photographic and chemical processing steps during which electronic circuits are gradually . Currently Dr. Antoniadis' research includes silicon-on-insulator (SOI) devices and technology for sub-0.25 micron CMOS. He has served as a consultant to several major semiconductor manufacturers.
