Cliff Dutton, Executive Vice President and Chief Technical Officer of Ibis Consulting, "The size and performance of our existing file storage infrastructure began to challenge our ability to scale operationally to meet the business demands. Our systems were approaching performance limits. We frequently had to provision new storage and manually migrate data sets across the new systems."

Ibis found Acopia's ARX switches to be a powerful enhancement to their scalability. According to Dutton, "Immediately after deploying Acopia's switches, we experienced remarkable improvements in operational efficiencies. Acopia's in-band adaptive resource switch provided real-time balancing of load across our BlueArc file servers, greatly increasing storage scalability, while effectively utilizing all of our available file storage capacity. Going forward, the switches will automate our data management tasks, greatly reducing the operational expense of manually managing data on our file servers."

Brendon Howe, Vice President of Marketing for Acopia Networks, said, "We're thrilled with the early results Ibis has achieved by using our products to better manage their NAS infrastructure. It's yet another proof point of how the ARX switches provide immediate and significant return to customers who are looking to better utilize their existing file server infrastructure, improve application performance, and simplify the management of storage."
