IVANS Honors Retiring Director, Former St. Paul Companies Officer; St. Paul Community Arts Program to Receive Grant.

IVANS, Inc. is pleased to announce a grant of $2,000 to COMPAS, the Community Programs in the Arts, in St. Paul, Minnesota, in honor of Gary P. Hanson, who retires as a Director of IVANS, Inc. effective March 22, 2001.

Mr. Hanson has been an active supporter of COMPAS for a number of years with particular interest in COMPAS' "Writers & Artists in the Schools (WAITS) Program" to which this grant is directed.

COMPAS' mission is to strengthen people and communities in Minnesota by engaging them in creating art. The WAITS program is one of the most extensive school artist residency programs in the country. Approximately 50 professional artists from many disciplines work in WAITS conducting 150-200 residencies each year, reaching over 40,000 children.

Mr. Hanson, a former senior officer of the St. Paul Companies (NYSE: SPC), has served as a Board member of IVANS, Inc. since 1995. IVANS, Inc., headquartered in Greenwich, Connecticut was formed in 1983 by 21 insurance companies to provide data networking and e-commerce solutions and services to all participants in the insurance industry. It serves over 475 insurance and healthcare organizations and more than 30,000 independent agents and brokers.

Mr. Hanson is a resident of Stillwater, Minnesota.
