ITT AUTOMOTIVE TO HOST INTERNATIONAL MEDIA BRUNCH AT THE 1994 NORTH AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL AUTO SHOW

 AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Dec. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Nearly 200 journalists from around the world are expected to attend the ITT Automotive International Media Brunch that will be held at the 1994 North American International Auto Show at Cobo Center in downtown Detroit on Monday, Jan. 3. The brunch, which will be hosted by Timothy D. Leuliette, president and chief executive officer, ITT Automotive, will be an industry first for the auto show.
 "We are extremely pleased to be an integral part of the 1994 North American International Auto show," said Leuliette. "The hosting of such an event at the show by an automotive supplier is not only unprecedented, but, more importantly, reflects the growing change in relationships between the vehicle manufacturer and the first-tier supplier in the new global automotive industry."
 During the brunch, Leuliette will discuss the dramatically changing automotive landscape, and the pivotal role the global first-tier supplier is playing in the industry's struggle to survive. In addition, the latest ITT Automotive technology will be featured on several display vehicles and showcased in an ITT Automotive exhibit.
 The exhibit will spotlight ITT Automotive's leading-edge technology which includes anti-lock brake and traction-control systems, wiper systems, structural components and aftermarket products.
 The brunch will also feature international cuisine from several of the 16 countries in which ITT Automotive facilities are based, including the U.S., Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Korea and Mexico. ITT Automotive has more than 70 facilities worldwide.
 "We envision making this brunch a tradition at the North American International Auto Show, much like the 20-year tradition our company has established in hosting a similar event at the Frankfurt Auto Show," said Leuliette. "We consider the premiere of this event in the Motor City an extension of that tradition."
 ITT Automotive will also host the Detroit Press Club Foundation International Wheel Awards reception scheduled for Jan. 3. The International Wheel Awards competition was established by the Foundation to encourage excellence in automotive journalism and recognize significant achievement in the field.
