ITSI Selected for $15 Billion Contract Under Air Force Heavy Engineering Repair and Construction (HERC) Program.

) Program. ITSI was one of 20 companies that were awarded HERC prime contracts. The prime contractors will share in project awards totaling up to $15 billion ($6 billion base amount) through the HERC contract.

The HERC contracts represent the next major series of contract vehicles that the AFCEE will use to meet the long-term requirements of the Air Force, the Department of Defense (DoD), and other federal agencies. Under the HERC, ITSI will execute Task Orders that support worldwide Air Force requirements for heavy industrial and commercial construction at project sites in the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. The United States is the world's third largest country in population and the fourth largest country in area.  as well as in austere and hostile foreign environments.

The HERC contract award is another major step in establishing ITSI as one of the largest firms in its class serving the Department of Defense (DoD). With an annual growth rate exceeding 60% for each of the past 10 years, ITSI is one of the nation's premier defense infrastructure construction and environmental contractors. As a prime contractor to AFCEE, ITSI has successfully performed design/build construction projects under other AFCEE contracts including the $10 billion Worldwide Environmental Remediation and Construction (WERC WERC Warehousing Education and Research Council
