ITS Corporation Wins Interior, Commerce and DoD Task Orders Valued at $6M; Government Integrator Cites Past Performance as Major Contributing Factor.

OXNARD, Calif. -- ITS Corporation, a provider of information technology and engineering solutions to the U.S. government, today announced that it has been awarded task orders totaling $6 million from the Department of Interior, Department of Commerce and Department of Defense.

For Interior's Bureau of Land Reclamation in Denver, ITS will provide support services to stabilize an application used for real property inventory management called Foundation Information for Real Property Management (FIRM). FIRM was originally a "Government Off-the-Shelf" software product provided by the General Services Administration (GSA), which was designed to help Federal agencies manage their real property holdings on a day-to-day basis.

The purpose of the new project is to modify the current version of the FIRM application, and to provide ongoing technical support for the application to meet Reclamation's current and long-term obligations for real property management and financial audit sufficiency. ITS will subcontract IT services to its trusted industry partner, D. Miller & Associates (DMA).

For the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) of the Commerce Department, ITS will provide logistics support to NOAA's Pacific Marine Environmental Lab (PMEL) in Seattle. This includes a wide variety of transportation, customs and logistics support services to the PMEL scientific and technical staff.

Current PMEL programs focus on studies that improve understanding of the complex physical and geochemical processes operating in the world's oceans, to define forcing functions and the processes driving ocean circulation and the global climate system, and to improve environmental forecasting capabilities and other supporting services for marine commerce and fisheries.

For the U.S. Navy, ITS will provide system engineering and Web development services to the Naval Surface Warfare Center's Naval Systems Data Support Activity (NSDSA) at Port Hueneme, Calif. The NSDSA provides centralized management of technical manuals in support of shipboard systems and equipment during the life cycle of the Navy ships as well as data telecommunications and database support to the Logistics Directorate. The ITS technical team provides system engineering and programming support to enable this Web-based environment to include providing NAVSEA and SPAWAR with current and accurate Technical Manual Contract Requirements (TMCRs) in a user-friendly environment.
