IT Training Goes Live.


In an effort to decrease the IT skills shortage, General Physics Corp. (GP) announced the introduction of GPStart Online. Roger St. Germain, vice president, says, "There is a tremendous need for skilled IT professionals in today's marketplace, and GP is dedicated to filling this gap. GPStart Online is a convenient and effective way to obtain IT training. The program allows individuals to become experienced IT professionals from the comfort of their own home." Students can tune into a live instructor-led sessions for three hours per session, three nights per week, over 31 weeks. The sessions will also be recorded and available for playback. Additionally, a mentoring service will be provided as well as online chat sessions with a live instructor. The system also includes streaming video to view a live instructor or other educational video material over a standard telephone line.
