WAYNE ROONEY'S kid brother is making his mark at Macclesfield.

John Rooney, 18, scored his first goal last week and impressed manager Keith Alexander again as they held Chesterfield.

"John has improved in every game, which is what we want," said Alexander.

"He's probably not quite quick enough to play out wide, or big and strong enough to play straight down the middle, but with his ability I'd like to find a place for him." Martin Gritton's early goal gave Chesterfield the lead, but Gareth Evans hit back for Macclesfield..
