to support the rapidly expanding customer and partner base of IT FACTORY throughout Europe and Asia. With broad experience and comprehensive skills in Notes/Domino development, the new division will address key issues within Notes organizations such as application migration, application integration and Microsoft-Lotus integration. ITF Solution International, which is the international counterpart to ITF Solution US, will also provide business partners with a model for success by working directly with `leadership accounts' in key business sectors.

Ian White has been working with Lotus Notes Messaging and groupware software from IBM Lotus that was introduced in 1989 for OS/2 and later expanded to Windows, Mac, Unix, NetWare, AS/400 and S/390. Notes provides e-mail, document sharing, workflow, group discussions and calendaring and scheduling.  and Domino since its commercial introduction in the UK in 1991. In various roles, Mr. White has worked with companies including SmithKline Beecham, Barclays Bank, Ladbrokes, IBM (International Business Machines Corporation, Armonk, NY, www.ibm.com) The world's largest computer company. IBM's product lines include the S/390 mainframes (zSeries), AS/400 midrange business systems (iSeries), RS/6000 workstations and servers (pSeries), Intel-based servers (xSeries)  and Lotus itself, primarily around Notes infrastructure and how organizations can most effectively deploy Lotus' industry-leading collaborative technology. Mr. White's comprehensive involvement and ongoing contact with the Lotus Business Partner community ensures a good understanding of the true synergies between ISVs, Business Partners and corporate users.

White explains: "Of the Times Top 100 companies, approximately 80 percent use Lotus Notes. Of those, the vast majority are not enjoying the full potential of their investment in Lotus Notes due to many unforeseen migration and integration issues, among others. ITF Solution consultants collaborate with the business partner community and such companies to bring their Notes applications, development, infrastructure, deployment and training all under a single relationship, ensuring the full value of their initial investment in Lotus technology."

Business issues associated with Lotus Notes include migration, technical integration, deployment, and staffing of the Notes development team. The IT FACTORY offering tackles these quickly and efficiently through the use of its common architecture, software development kit (to save `reinventing the wheel') and suite of business applications.

Release 5.0 of the ITF Software Development Kit, announced in January 2000, supports all Domino R5 design elements including outlines, pages, framesets, images, applets and shared actions. ITF 5.0 also offers extended support for Notes R5's enhanced browser compatibility The ability of a Web browser to effectively display the HTML code and execute the scripts on Web pages. The changes in HTML features since the mid-1990s, along with the versions of JavaScript and Java languages, combined with the differences between Netscape Navigator, Internet Explorer , making the browser browser
