A Casino Night (also called Vegas Nights, Las Vegas Night, Monte Carlo Night) is an entertainment event with a casino theme.
." The grand event took place on Nov. 16, 2006 at the Sheraton/Ft. Lauderdale. Thanks to the funds raised that evening, seven high school graduating women pursuing careers in technology will be awarded scholarships in early 2007.

More than 200 IT professionals, educators and C-level executives mingled and played casino games and poker for prize chips at the event sponsored by Citrix Systems Citrix Systems' (NASDAQ: CTXS) is an American technology company, based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with subsidiary operations in California and Massachusetts, with additional development centers in Australia, India and the UK. , Deloitte, QUALCOMM, Robert Half Technology, Cordis, Jobing.com, Maroone, Momentum Consulting Group, S3, Ser-Mar Printing and Graphics and Business Wire. The mood was Vegas-style complete with Rat Pack music and an Elvis impersonator.

ITWomen invited top South Florida CIOs to join a Texas Hold'em Poker tournament to celebrate the past two scholarship drives. As a result of the scholarship drives, ITWomen has raised more than $60,000 in scholarships the past three years. Following this year's event, with the 7 additional recipients obtaining scholarships, a total of 15 female high school seniors selected from Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties will have benefited from ITWomen's fund-raising efforts.

"The scholarship drive and ITWomen's Role Models Outreach initiative is part of ITWomen's mission to increase the number of girls entering technology fields," said Victoria Usherenko, president of ITWomen and founder of Liaison Search Associates, an executive search firm. "The Role Models program, showcased during the casino night, engages professionals to speak to young ladies ages 8 through 18. These professionals share their own personal experiences and career paths."
