Chris Nelson is the Secretary of State of South Dakota. Role in Possible Replacement of U.S. , said Carrillo is a patient teacher of a sport known for tough workouts and throwing techniques. ``It's pretty hard and he makes us do the more advanced moves but that's great,'' said Nelson. ``If we mess up, he wants us to show him (the moves) again, but he doesn't yell at us in a mean voice like other senseis.'' Carrillo, who now oversees a staff of more than 20 young adults, is in charge of coordinating youth programs ranging from Halloween contests to basketball tournaments for the 300 students who show up daily at the club at 2850 Lemon Drive. Carrillo, 47, said that watching the children take part in after-school programs brings back memories of his own youth.
