IT'S HUGH, GEENA AND `STUART'.

Byline: Diana McKeon Charkalis Staff Writer

Hugh Laurie James Hugh Calum Laurie, OBE (born June 11, 1959) is an English actor, comedian and writer, and musician. He is known professionally as Hugh Laurie. Early life and education
Laurie was born in Oxford.
and Geena Davis Virginia Elizabeth "Geena" Davis (born January 21 1956) is an Academy Award and Golden Globe-winning and Emmy-nominated American actress and former fashion model. Biography

Thanks goodness for that, and for Michael J. Fox, who returns to winningly voice the title character. Although much of the voice casting has stayed the same, things are definitely different in this latest extrapolation (mathematics, algorithm) extrapolation - A mathematical procedure which estimates values of a function for certain desired inputs given values for known inputs.

If the desired input is outside the range of the known values this is called extrapolation, if it is inside then
of E.B. White's classic kids' tale of a mouse named Stuart who is lovingly accepted into a family of humans. Unlike the first two ``Stuart'' films, this one went straight to video. And it also doesn't boast the screenwriting credit of M. Night Shyamalan Manoj Nelliattu Shyamalan (born August 6, 1970), known professionally as M. Night Shyamalan, /'ʃæ.mæ.lɔːn  as the first movie did.

But perhaps the biggest letdown for fans is that this sequel is completely animated, as opposed to the more engaging combination of live action and animation that gave Stuarts 1 and 2 their innate charm. In those films, the high jinks high jinks or hi·jinks

were more fun, the sight gags more funny. And it was definitely more enjoyable actually watching Davis and Laurie, who play Stuart's parents, interact on screen as opposed to just hearing their lines. Even the computer-generated image of Stuart was far more adorable than the animated version this time around. However, in all versions, fans of Laurie's new show will be amused to see and hear him embodying something closer to Mr. Rogers than his acerbic Dr. House.

In this latest installment, Stuart and his family leave the city and head off to camp in the woods for the summer. Although Stuart longs to be a good wilderness scout, his efforts are thwarted by his size. So he befriends a crafty Skunk skunk, name for several related New World mammals of the weasel family, characterized by their conspicuous black and white markings and use of a strong, highly offensive odor for defense. , voiced by Wayne Brady, who shows him how to take care of himself in the forest. This comes in handy when they come face to face with a monstrous ``beast'' voiced by Virginia Madsen. Then it's up to Stuart to save the day.

Although small children may be a bit frightened by the predator, this G-rated film registers pretty low on the scare-o-meter. Kids 4-8 will probably enjoy this animated romp. It's the parents who were charmed and equally entertained by the first two movies who are most likely to be disappointed.
