), the world's leading provider of open source solutions, today announced that strategic members of Red Hat's broad ecosystem of independent software vendors (ISVs) are already supporting and testing Red Hat Enterprise Linux Red Hat Enterprise Linux (often abbreviated to RHEL) is a Linux distribution produced by Red Hat and targeted toward the commercial market, including mainframes. Red Hat commits to supporting each version of RHEL for 7 years after its release.  5 Beta 2 to prepare for Red Hat's next major subscription milestone (announced Friday, November 17). These software partners have begun testing to ensure early certification of their solutions at general availability of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 this winter and to guarantee that customers can benefit from the new technologies and cost-savings as quickly as possible.
