ISCO RESPONDS TO RECENT DROP IN STOCK PRICE
LINCOLN, Neb., Aug. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Isco Inc. (NASDAQ: ISKO)

stated today that it believes the market has overreacted to analyst reports lowering earnings projections for Isco's FY1992 fourth quarter and FY1993.
"There are no precipitous changes in our business to explain the recent 30 percent drop in our stock price," stated John Korab, vice president of corporate development at Isco. "The biggest change in next year's earnings outlook is due to a substantial increase in R&D spending in the Environmental Division. We view this as creating long-term value through new product development. The markets for both divisions are driven by new products and technology. We have top- notch engineering teams that, with adequate resources, will keep us at the forefront of our markets."
Robert Allington, president of Isco, commented, "Isco is on track for record revenues and earnings in fiscal year 1992, which ended July 31, 1992. Our budget for fiscal year 1993 anticipates revenue growth for both the Separation Instruments and the Environmental Divisions. The supercritical fluid extraction (SFE) product line is expected to increase its contribution as the market continues to accept this new technology. Similarly, the Environmental Division will be introducing new flow meter and groundwater sampling products in the second half of fiscal year 1993. Even with our planned commitment to new product development, we anticipate that our return- on-sales in fiscal year 1993 will be approximately 12 percent, which is our financial objective."
Isco manufactures water pollution monitoring equipment, and is the leading producer of wastewater samplers and open-channel flow measuring devices. Isco also manufactures chemical separation instruments for use in biochemistry and biotechnology research.
