ISC2(R) Appoints Bruce Brody to Advisory Board of the Americas.

Industry Veteran Brings Valuable Public and Private Sector Insight as Advisor to (ISC)(2) Management on Policies, Trends and Certifications

PALM HARBOR, Fla. -- The International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium, [(ISC)2[R]], the non-profit global leader in educating and certifying information security professionals throughout their careers, today announced it has appointed Bruce Brody, CISSP, vice president and division manager of information assurance for CACI International Inc, to the (ISC)2Advisory Board of the Americas.

Brody has more than 25 years of executive leadership in information security, information technology intelligence and program management with the U.S. government and private industry. The 13-member volunteer advisory board was established in 2004 to provide insight and guidance to the (ISC)2 executive management team on information security policies and trends, and make recommendations regarding the professional education and certification of industry professionals in North, Central and South America.

Brody is responsible for the planning and direction of CACI's information assurance business, contributing to the company's work in risk assessment and the development and evaluation of policy, procedures, standards and practices in keeping information secure. Prior to joining CACI, Brody served as vice president of information security for INPUT, where he was responsible for leading the consulting practice in the security field and contributing to the Federal Information Security Analysis program. He has also served as the associate chief information officer for cyber security at the U.S. Department of Energy, as well as the associate deputy assistant secretary for cyber and information security at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Brody is the only individual who has served as the chief information security officer at two different cabinet-level departments and was recognized on Federal Computer Week's Federal 100 in 2004.
