IRS formalizes appeals arbitration process.


The IRS An abbreviation for the Internal Revenue Service, a federal agency charged with the responsibility of administering and enforcing internal revenue laws.  has upgraded its appeals arbitration arbitration

Process of resolving a dispute or a grievance outside a court system by presenting it for decision to an impartial third party. Both sides in the dispute usually must agree in advance to the choice of arbitrator and certify that they will abide by the
 process from a pilot program to permanent.

The program was established for cases in appeals in which a taxpayer and the IRS could jointly request binding arbitration on certain unresolved Not completed; not finished; not linked together. See resolve.  factual issues.
