IRS announces possible new features for Web site.


Starting this summer, the IRS An abbreviation for the Internal Revenue Service, a federal agency charged with the responsibility of administering and enforcing internal revenue laws.  hopes to offer the following new publications and services on its Web site:

* The Internal Revenue Manual (the IRS manual of policies and procedures Policies and Procedures are a set of documents that describe an organization's policies for operation and the procedures necessary to fulfill the policies. They are often initiated because of some external requirement, such as environmental compliance or other governmental  for employees).

* The Internal REvenue Bulletin.

* Market segment specialization program audit guides (which tell agents how to audit particular industries or types of taxpayers).

* Postings of formal practitioner comments on proposed regulations.

* A searchable database of tax-exempt organizations.

* A downloadable tax calendar showing due dates for various forms and tax payments.

* News from local IRS offices.
