IREM and founding New Jersey chapter celebrate 70 years.

 and its founding chapter No. 1 in New Jersey, were formed during the great depression and hard times for many in the real estate industry.

Today, real estate managers may face similar problems, but 70 years later the real estate industry is, to say the least, a bit more complicated and Institute of Real Estate Management This article or section needs sources or references that appear in reliable, third-party publications. IREM celebrated its 70th birthday at the Helmsley Hotel last week, where a luncheon was hosted by the IREM New York New York, state, United States
New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of
 chapter.

"As we all know times have changed Since 1933, and IREM continues to change with the times," said Patricia A. Nooney, president of Institute of Real Estate Management. "But we have the same goal and that is to be the number one resource for property managers."

To accomplish that task IREM has a three-fold program-that includes education, advocacy and establishing and maintaining code of ethics Code of Ethics can refer to:
  • Ethical code, a code of professional responsibility, noting what behaviors are "ethical".
  • Code of Ethics (band), a 90's Christian New Wave/Pop band
 for real estate managers.

"Everyone wants instantaneous information around the clock," Nooney said. "The information has to be relevant and available to members when they need it."

Since 1933, IREM's milestones include the first education course presented in Chicago in 1936, certified Property management designation created in 1938, membership reaching 1,000 in 1950, accredited accredited

"And to recognize an organization that has existed for 70 years and has grown and changed with the times, is an honor."
