Lauderdale, Fla., today announced SafeNet/Enterprise, a comprehensive, centrally managed security system for Internet business communication. SafeNet/Enterprise, available in the fourth quarter, combines IRE's expertise in encryption technology and central security management, with CyberGuard Corporation's new high performance proxy firewall, and is the result of a joint Product Development and Marketing Agreement signed by the companies in August. IRE's new user smartcard products yesterday make SafeNet/Enterprise the first Intranet security solution that offers very cost-effective user options -- smartcards, software and secure modems. CyberGuard Corporation announced its CyberGuard Firewall 3.0 which runs on the industry standard Intel(r) Platform yesterday. Release 3 uses MVSE technology that matches data access rights to user privileges. The SafeNet/Enterprise solution combines these new products with encryption and central management of firewall rules, encryption keys, user security and PINs.
