IRAQ - Mar 28 - Foreign Civilians Killed.

A widening campaign with insurgents targeting Western contractors kills a British and a Canadian civilian in a drive-by shooting in Mosul. CPC officials later said the two men were guards working for the London-based company, Olive Security, and were escorting a convoy of engineers from GE, rehabilitating a power station in the northern city. The ambush brought to 12 the number of Western workers, including four Christian missionaries in Mosul, killed in Iraq this month. The two men were reported to have been wearing blue flak-jackets at the time, but an analyst at Control Risks, another British security company also operating in Mosul, said they did not appear to have been driving armoured cars. The area was sealed off by US soldiers and Iraqi police after the shootings. Also in Mosul on Mar 28, insurgents wounded two employees of the US-run Iraqi Media Network in an ambush, and fired two rocket-propelled grenades at a US military vehicle. Two people were killed and 13 wounded in a rocket attack on Mosul city hall on Mar 27. In Baqouba east of Baghdad, a bomb exploded outside the home of an Iraqi contractor, wounding three children.
